PAS Survey
'Protection Against Stalking (PAS) have launched an innovative survey which will bring the victims of stalking ‘out of the shadows’ to find out what their experience was on contact with the Criminal Justice System. Too often we hear from and support victims who have previously been let down, left unsupported and rendered vulnerable by the very system that should support and protect them.
We have been driving a campaign for this to change and are advising a unique Inquiry set up by Parliamentarians which is putting the victim’s voice at the centre of it. It will be reviewing whether the legislation and sentencing guidelines and training of professionals in stalking and risk assessment are adequate amongst other things. The survey findings will be used and submitted to this influential panel. The findings will be published in the final Inquiry report and action plan.
